1Who we are
ManorMe is a Canadian software product operated by [Legal Entity Name, e.g., ManorMe Inc.], based in [Province, Canada]. References to "ManorMe," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to that entity. References to "you" or "your" refer to the person whose personal information we're processing.
Privacy Officer: privacy@manorme.com. This person is responsible for our compliance with Canadian privacy laws and is your point of contact for questions or complaints.
2What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information we collect through:
- Our marketing website at manorme.com (the waitlist form, contact emails, analytics)
- The ManorMe customer portal (account, billing, support tickets — once available)
- Our customer support channels (email, scheduled support calls)
This policy does not cover the data inside your installed ManorMe deployment. That data lives on infrastructure you own (your Supabase project and your Vercel deployment), and is not accessible to us. See our Security & Architecture page for the full explanation.
3What we collect, and why
Waitlist signups
- Your email address. So we can email you when ManorMe is available and send occasional founder updates. Provided by you when you fill out the waitlist form.
- Approximate geographic region and IP address. Captured automatically by Cloudflare for security (rate-limiting, abuse prevention) and aggregate analytics. We don't store this against your email.
Customer purchases (once we're selling)
- Billing details (name, email, billing address, payment method) — collected and stored by Stripe, our payments processor. We see only the email and purchase record, not card numbers.
- Your ManorMe license key — generated when you purchase, sent to you, and kept by us in our customer portal database so we can verify your eligibility for updates and support.
Support interactions
- Email correspondence sent to hello@, support@, privacy@, or security@ manorme.com. Retained for as long as needed to handle your request and a reasonable period after.
- Screen-share recordings during onboarding calls — only if you explicitly consent at the start of the call. We never record without consent.
Website analytics
- Aggregate page visit data via Cloudflare Web Analytics. This is cookie-free and does not identify individual visitors. We see things like "X people visited /pricing today" — not who.
4What we do not collect
- We do not collect your financial data. The data in your ManorMe deployment (accounts, balances, beneficiaries, documents) lives on your own Supabase project, which we cannot access.
- We do not collect banking credentials. We have no integration with any bank or brokerage. Ever.
- We do not use tracking cookies on this website.
- We do not buy data about you from third-party data brokers.
- We do not collect children's personal information. ManorMe is intended for adults (18+) only.
5Where your information lives
All personal information we hold about you is stored on infrastructure located in Canada. Specifically:
- Waitlist signups are stored in Cloudflare KV, in Cloudflare's Canadian data centres where geographic routing is available.
- Customer portal data (license keys, support history) is stored in a Supabase project pinned to ca-central-1 (Montréal, Canada).
- Email correspondence passes through Resend (US-based) and is delivered to a Google Workspace mailbox we operate. We acknowledge cross-border processing for email transit and disclose this here.
6Who else might see your information
We share information with a limited set of sub-processors that help us run the business. We do not sell your data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and waitlist storage
- Supabase — customer portal database (when applicable)
- Stripe — payments processing
- Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
- Google Workspace — business email
Each sub-processor is bound by their own privacy obligations. We choose providers with privacy practices we consider appropriate for Canadian customers.
7Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA, and the equivalent provincial laws where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access any personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Withdraw consent for our processing of your information (e.g., unsubscribe from the waitlist)
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (or your provincial commissioner) if you believe we've mishandled your information
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@manorme.com. We respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
8How long we keep your information
- Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe, or until you confirm you'd like to be removed.
- Customer records: while you're an active ManorMe customer, plus 7 years afterward, to comply with Canadian tax record-keeping requirements and to support warranty / refund inquiries.
- Support correspondence: 2 years after the issue is resolved.
- Server logs (Cloudflare): per Cloudflare's retention policy (typically 30 days).
9Quebec residents — additional rights
If you are a resident of Quebec, you have additional rights under Quebec Law 25, including the right to data portability and the right to be informed of any decision based solely on automated processing of your personal information. We do not currently use automated decision-making that affects you, and we can provide a portable copy of your data on request.
Our Privacy Officer is also our designated Person in Charge of the Protection of Personal Information for Law 25 purposes.
10Security
We protect personal information through reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere) and at rest, access controls on our customer portal, mandatory two-factor authentication for team members, and audit logging.
If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant privacy commissioners as required by Canadian law.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email and posted prominently on this page for at least 30 days before taking effect.
