1Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between [Legal Entity Name, e.g., ManorMe Inc.] (the company behind ManorMe — "we," "us," or "ManorMe") and you (the person using our website, services, or software).

By using manorme.com, joining the waitlist, or purchasing ManorMe, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2What ManorMe is

ManorMe is a piece of software that helps Canadian households track their net worth and organize estate information. It runs on infrastructure that you own and control. We sell it to you once; after that, the software is yours.

What ManorMe is not:

For financial, tax, or legal advice, please consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

3Eligibility

To use ManorMe you must be:

4The waitlist

You can join our waitlist by giving us your email address. By doing so, you consent to us emailing you about ManorMe — launch updates, founder pricing availability, and the occasional product update. We will not share your email with anyone or use it for unrelated marketing.

You can unsubscribe at any time. We delete your email from our waitlist within 30 days of an unsubscribe request.

5The ManorMe software (once available)

What you're buying

When you purchase ManorMe, you're purchasing a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to install and use one copy of the ManorMe software for your household's personal use. The price you pay is one-time. You own the right to use the version you bought, for as long as you want, on infrastructure you control.

Prohibited uses

6Demo access

Before you buy, you can try a live demo of ManorMe hosted on our servers. The demo is read-only — you can navigate, view, and interact with the interface using sample household data, but you cannot save changes. The demo is provided as-is, may be modified or discontinued at any time, and gives you a representative (but not necessarily current) view of the software.

7Pricing, payment, and refunds

Pricing

The price of ManorMe and any add-on services is displayed on manorme.com. Founder pricing applies to the first 250 households and may end at any time once that limit is reached. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. We may change pricing for future customers at any time; once you've purchased, your purchase price is locked in for that purchase.

Payment

Payment is processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you accept Stripe's terms in addition to ours. We receive your email and a record of the purchase; we do not receive or store your card information.

Refunds

All sales are final once your ManorMe deployment is installed on your infrastructure, because at that point the software is in your possession and we can't take it back. To make sure you're confident before buying, we provide a live demo (Section 6) that lets you fully evaluate the product before purchase.

Two narrow exceptions:

8Support and updates

Your purchase includes:

Beyond the first year, you can stay on the version you purchased indefinitely, or join the optional maintenance plan ($149 CAD/year) for ongoing updates. Additional 1-on-1 support hours are available at $250 CAD/hour.

9Your data, and our access to it

After your installation is complete, your ManorMe deployment lives on infrastructure that you create, pay for, and control. We have no access to your financial data, documents, beneficiaries, family instructions, or any data inside your deployment. See our Security & Architecture page for the full explanation.

The information we do hold about you (your email, license key, support correspondence) is governed by our Privacy Policy.

10Third-party services you'll use

ManorMe runs on third-party infrastructure that you set up: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and optionally OpenAI (voice), Polygon or similar (market data). Each of those vendors has their own terms of service, privacy policies, and pricing. We facilitate getting you set up; the ongoing relationship is between you and them.

11Warranties — or rather, the limits of them

ManorMe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of financial calculations, or uninterrupted availability.

We do our best to make ManorMe work as described, and we'll correct material defects we become aware of. But we cannot guarantee that the software will be error-free, that it will meet your specific needs, or that your underlying infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel, etc.) will always be available.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable Canadian consumer protection laws.

12Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on certain types of liability, so these limits may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.

13Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold ManorMe harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the software, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law in your use of the software.

14Intellectual property

The ManorMe software, brand, logo, marketing materials, documentation, and website content are owned by us. Your purchase grants you a license to use the software as described in Section 5, not ownership of any of the foregoing.

If you give us feedback, suggestions, or feature ideas, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback in any way without obligation to you.

15Termination

You can stop using ManorMe at any time. Your perpetual license to the version you purchased continues even after we stop selling ManorMe or supporting it.

We may terminate your access to our customer portal, the demo, or our support channels if you materially breach these terms. Termination of access to those services does not revoke your perpetual license to the software you already purchased.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when. For material changes affecting active customers, we'll send an email and post prominently for at least 30 days before changes take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [Ontario, Canada] (or your selected province once finalized), without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of [Ontario, Canada], except where exclusive jurisdiction is required by applicable consumer protection law in your province.
